190 kids
13 workshops
Etschtal, Val Gardena, and Eggental

That's how this season's (summer 2026) environmental education workshops with Die Kinderfreunde Südtirol look on paper. But behind the stats: intense days full of curious minds, laughs, nights of preparation and a lot of coffee in tiny villages all over South Tyrol.

Each workshop had it’s base motivation: strengthening the bond between children and the natural environment. Anna developed two distinct workshop frameworks, adapting the approach for the little ones (ages 4–5) and the older group (ages 6–10). Through custom-designed modules backed by research i did in the last years.
The kids and Anna explored the web of interdependence between humans and nature. We engaged all the senses, used storytelling to anchor our ideas and perceptions, turned natural materials into interactive play, and experimented freely.
It was less about teaching facts and more about providing inputs, offering new perceptions, and creating space for children to explore nature and their environment through their own senses and perspectives.
